Creating a story

I can hear you saying it: I'm not creative, I can't write stories. Don't worry, you don't have to write a book based on one Hero's Journey. For good storytelling you only need three ingredients; the main character, an event and a conflict. It's a bit similar to Cluedo if you read it that way.

The main character is someone the reader can identify with. The event is about something that happens unexpectedly and the conflict is about a conflict that the main character has to overcome.
