Approach customers via LinkedIn

As an entrepreneur you must ensure that you constantly generate new customers. There are several ways this can be done. Just think of channels such as Facebook, Instagram and even TikTok! A channel that surprisingly does not receive much attention is LinkedIn. This is strange, especially because almost every entrepreneur is on this platform. Not only that, but the reach you have through LinkedIn's algorithm is greater than you think. What holds many people back is that you are quickly seen as annoying. This is not surprising if you ask to connect with someone and continue to insist on services. This is quickly perceived as spam.

The first digital meeting

So how do you prevent customers from immediately dropping out when they see your message or profile? The most important thing you need to know is that your LinkedIn page is a calling card for your company. Especially if you are the owner, you certainly cannot say 'I am the owner of the company name.' All nice and nice, but what exactly do you do?? How can you solve the problems of potential customers? What makes you unique? And perhaps most importantly; what do previous customers think of your services?

Your business card is in order, what now? Now you start looking for people to connect with. The most important thing to start with is that you state the reasons why you want to connect with this person. Of course you can do something for this person. After all, you are selling something, but be careful not to start selling right away with the first message. You will then be perceived more quickly as an annoying tel sell salesperson and you naturally want to avoid that. After you have made a connection, it is important to remain authentic. Keep in mind that you are dealing with a different person so don't say something that you wouldn't say to someone you just met.

The use of LinkedIn tools

There are people who use tools to connect with people. This includes automatic messages and invitations. Automating these tasks makes life a lot easier, but be careful, because the platform is constantly tightening its rules. Did you know that too many rejected invitations can lead to a permanent block of your account? Of course you want to prevent this! If you still want to use these automation tools, be well prepared and know what you are doing!
