Action required: accept the new AdWords Terms and Conditions!

Do you have advertisements running in Google AdWords and would you like them to continue to run optimally? Then you have to pay close attention. Google has updated the Terms and Conditions for AdWords! It is necessary that you accept this, otherwise your advertisements may be interrupted.

The updates include data protection terms and new provisions on the disclosure of technical errors and bugs in AdWords.

What should you do?

You should have received an email about the new general terms and conditions. You will then receive a notification in AdWords, usually within two days of receiving the email. After receiving that notification, you can read and accept the new terms and conditions. To do this, you must log in to all AdWords accounts that you manage.  

Important:

  • If you manage multiple accounts that share the same payments profile, when you accept the terms in one of them, you automatically accept the terms for all those accounts.
  • If you use the AdWords API or a third-party tool, you must log into your AdWords account directly to accept the terms.
  • Accepting does not affect, for example, bids, budgets and other settings. But: If you do not agree, your advertisements may be interrupted!
